Or head up to the Preseli Hills, where you can climb Foel Cwm Cerwyn, the highest point in Pembrokeshire. From the summit, enjoy panoramic views across the county, with glimpses of ancient woodlands and standing stones along the way.

Just 5 minutes from us is Rosebush Quarry — perfect for a gentle walk surrounded by nature. You can even take a dip in the now-flooded quarry if you’re feeling adventurous.

Nearby, the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park offers a variety of cycle paths and walking trails suitable for all ages and abilities.

The village of Maenclochog is our closest hub for local amenities, including shops, a café, a pub, and two filling stations.

For a spot of shopping, head to the market town of Narberth, where you’ll find a supermarket, independent shops, cafés, and the popular HUB for craft beer and bites to eat.

Also nearby, tucked away in the heart of Ffynone Woods near Boncath, is Ffynone Waterfall — a hidden gem of Pembrokeshire. A gentle woodland trail leads to this enchanting cascade, where crystal-clear waters tumble into a serene pool surrounded by mossy rocks and towering trees. It’s a peaceful spot for a quiet walk, a paddle with the dog, or even a refreshing wild swim on a warm day.

Folly Farm was lovely — a really well-thought-out attraction with plenty for children.
Cwm-Yr-Eglwys beach is a great secluded cove with a fantastic pub called The Sailor. Highly recommend the food — and there’s free parking too.
Just a 20-minute drive to some of the prettiest beaches and coves. We loved visiting Strumble Head Lighthouse — stunning views and lots of seals to be seen. Only half an hour from the site.
So many places within just a few miles. We especially liked Tafarn Sinc and Newport Beach, but there were plenty of other gems too.
Ideal base to visit Poppit Sands, a beautiful dog-friendly beach.
The site is perfectly situated to explore all of Pembrokeshire — from Amroth to St David’s to Fishguard — including Folly Farm and alpaca trekking.
Tenby offers lovely beach walks, great shops, and delicious food.
